Advanced Carpentry and Joinery - Advanced Site Carpenter

Who is it for
Carpenters & Joiners who have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship and wish to advance their skills and knowledge.

The Apprentice will learn basic brickwork skills working towards learning complex brickwork, cavity walls, arches and corbelling.
Progression from this Apprenticeship leads to jobs such as Full-time bricklayer, Sub agent, Assistant site manager and Construction planner.

Attending college one day a week, studying a HNC Construction for two years and working towards an End Point Assessment in year three.
Content
The purpose of the standard is to develop Apprentices as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.
Progression from this Apprenticeship leads to jobs such as a Full-time assistant construction site supervisor, Assistant project manager and Assistant health and safety manager.

Who is it for

One day a week in college for practical and theory work alongside workplace training.

The Apprentice will survey locations and support sales of fitted interiors, transport installation equipment and materials to the site, interpret and implement plans and designs, prepare locations for assembly and placement of furniture, set up, operate and maintain tools and equipment used to assemble and install furniture and assemble components of fitted furniture.
Progression from this Apprenticeship can lead to job roles such as a Kitchen fitter, Bathroom fitter, commercial shop fitter, Furniture manufacturer or a Fitted furniture installer.
