Typically 18 months

Who is it for

New recruits and existing staff.

How does it work?

Weekly college session.

Content

Menu of options that can be tailored to your organisation.

Progression from this Apprenticeship leads to jobs such as Dental therapists and hygienists and Oral health promotion.

End point assessment

Assessment is ongoing with an end point assessment.

Qualification

Level 3 Dental Nursing.

Pharmacy Technician

Level 3

Typically 24 months

Who is it for

For anyone with a keen eye for details and an interest in pharmacy, healthcare or science.

How does it work?

Day release (weekly) with a mix of online and face-face lessons.

Content

Completion of 21 units covering a wide range of knowledge, skills and roles within pharmacy.

Progression from this Apprenticeship leads to jobs such as Medicine management, Procurement and Pharmaceutical production.

End point assessment

There is no end point assessment. Pass is achieved via 100% completion of portfolio.

Qualification

Level 3 Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.

After 3 years or when significant change is required.

Pharmacy Service Assistant

12 months plus 3 months for end point assessment

Who is it for

New recruits and existing staff.

How does it work?

Online lessons, scheduled monthly with separate support sessions.

Content

Completion of six mandatory units.

Progression from this Apprenticeship leads to jobs such as Assistant technical officer, Senior assistant technical officer, and Pharmacy assistant.

End point assessment

Knowledge test, professional discussion and simulated observation.

Qualification

Level 2 Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff.

After 3 years or when significant change is required.
