Meet the tutor – Lucy Webster
Published: 1st of August 2024
Introducing Lucy Webster, our Work Based Learning Tutor for customer service and business administration Apprenticeships here at The Sheffield College.
Having dedicated over 21 years to The Sheffield College, Lucy’s journey has been fulfilling and transformative, not just for her, but for countless Apprentices and students. Her career started as a Learning and Assessment Facilitator, guiding students through drop-in IT courses.
Following this, she went on to deliver NVQs in business administration and customer service. Working with work-based learners in their workplace provided Lucy with a unique insight into the practical challenges and opportunities faced by students.
In 2010, Lucy’s passion for education and learner development led her to focus on Apprenticeships. Reflecting on her own experience, Lucy stated:
“Apprenticeships are rewarding! They are a great way to gain lots of experience and knowledge whilst earning a qualification and a wage. Apprentices become part of a team and have their own responsibilities at work. They are supported by the college as their workplace mentor regularly checks-in and is on hand to offer support and guidance.”
Choosing The Sheffield College, Apprenticeships+ as your training provider means you will be a part of a community dedicated to supporting your success. We are committed to helping you achieve your career goals, whether you’re looking to start your career, upskill, or change career paths.
