Meet the tutor - Elaine Taff

Meet Elaine Taff, our Work-Based Learning Tutor for Early Years Apprenticeships. Elaine brings an impressive background of experience to her role, having worked in various educational and childcare settings throughout her career.
Elaine began her journey as a secondary school teacher, specialising in Early Years education for students from Year 9 to Year 13. She then transitioned to lecturing in Early Years at The Sheffield College. Her extensive career also includes roles in schools, nurseries, and running a playgroup, as well as teaching adults in community settings.
Elaine’s industry expertise allows her to support learners effectively. She shares good practice, offers advice, and relates to the challenges they face, ensuring that her teaching meets their individual needs.
When considering an Apprenticeship, Elaine highlights the importance of employment responsibilities. She encourages learners to prioritise good attendance, respect, manners, initiative, and communication skills.
