Top Tips for finding an Apprenticeship
The following tips will help you stay organised, stand out to employers, and increase your chances of securing an Apprenticeship that suits your goals.
Be proactive. Apprenticeships can be highly competitive, so it’s important to stay ahead. Regularly check the Government website to see what opportunities are available in your local area.
Apply widely. Submit applications for as many suitable Apprenticeships as possible to increase your chances and get your name out there.
Prepare a strong CV and cover letter. Make sure you have an up-to-date CV and a tailored cover letter ready to send to employers you’re interested in working with.
Gain relevant experience. Try to secure work experience in the sector you’re interested in. This could be through family, friends, or local businesses.
Stay persistent. Keep applying for Apprenticeships that genuinely interest you and don’t be discouraged if you don’t succeed straight away.
