Advanced Technology Centre closure on 14th January 2026

The Sheffield College’s Advanced Technology Centre will be closed on Wednesday 14th January 2026.
This is due to a blocked pipe and subsequent sewage leak at the campus based on Olive Grove Road. All other college campuses will be open as planned.
Andrew Hartley, Deputy Chief Executive, The Sheffield College, said: “The safety and wellbeing of students and staff is our priority.
“Alternative plans have been put in place for students and staff. Teaching and learning will relocate to City Campus or move online for students affected.
“Teaching and learning for apprentices will be postponed and rearranged. We regret any inconvenience caused.”
In summary:
- All learning for students studying engineering and motor vehicle will move online.
- Any learning for apprentices due to take place at the Advanced Technology Centre tomorrow will be postponed and rearranged.
- All learning for students studying plumbing at the Advanced Technology Centre will relocate to City Campus.
- Students are asked to report to City Campus reception ahead of their timetabled lesson and will be directed accordingly
- All applicant interviews due to take place at the Advanced Technology Centre on 14th January 2026 from 4pm until 6pm will be cancelled and rearranged.
- All applicant interviews at other campuses will still go ahead
The Advanced Technology Centre specialises in engineering, motor vehicle, gas fitting and plumbing qualifications including apprenticeships, vocational diplomas and T Levels.
