Isabelle Sampson

Recently, we caught up with Isabelle to discuss her Apprenticeship journey, the skills she’s developed and her future aspirations.

Isabelle chose to do an Apprenticeship with The Sheffield College because it aligned perfectly with her way of learning. She appreciated the opportunity to earn a wage without needing to balance a separate job alongside her studies.

“An Apprenticeship suited my preferred way of learning and I wanted to earn a wage without needing to have a separate job to college.”

Throughout her Apprenticeship, Isabelle has developed a variety of essential skills that are crucial for her future career in business administration. She highlighted the importance of teamwork and gaining a good understanding of how businesses operate effectively.

“I’ve gained skills in teamwork and a deep understanding of the ins and outs of a business and how to run one effectively.”

When discussing her employer, Isabelle spoke positively. She feels highly valued in her workplace and enjoys being involved in a variety of tasks, which keeps her role engaging and rewarding.

“My employer is extremely supportive, and I really enjoy working for them. I massively feel valued at work as I’m involved in varied tasks, and I’m always being asked to be involved in more.”

One of the tools Isabelle found useful during her Apprenticeship is Google Classroom. It has been instrumental in helping her manage her action plans and keep track of her work.

“Google Classroom has been a great platform to use when writing my action plans and referring back to work.”

Looking to the future, Isabelle is considering a Higher Apprenticeship, possibly in marketing or HR. She feels that her current Apprenticeship has given her the knowledge and confidence to pursue these goals.
