Kimberley Chittenden
Health, Care, Dental and Pharmacy Apprentice of the Year
Here's why Kim was nominated by her tutor:
"Kim Chittenden is an exceptional apprentice and a truly deserving nominee for the Health, Care, Dental and Pharmacy Apprentice of the Year award.
Kim consistently demonstrates outstanding commitment to both her college studies and her workplace role. She approaches every aspect of her apprenticeship with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine determination to succeed. Her workplace feedback has been extremely positive, reflecting her reliability, strong work ethic, and the high standard of care she provides in her role.
Due to her family responsibilities, Kim studies part-time while also balancing her work commitments. Despite this, she has shown remarkable determination to succeed in the course and develop her professional skills. Not only is Kim fully up to date with all of her coursework, she is actually ahead of schedule. Although she has been given additional time to complete the programme due to her part-time status, she remains on track to complete at the same time as her full-time classmates — a testament to her motivation and dedication.
Kim’s academic work is consistently of a very high quality. She engages thoughtfully with feedback from tutors and acts on it quickly and proactively, demonstrating a genuine commitment to improving and refining her work. This willingness to learn and develop is one of the qualities that makes Kim stand out as an apprentice.
Alongside the demands of her apprenticeship, Kim is also completing Functional Skills Maths. She has approached this challenge with the same admirable determination and strong work ethic that she brings to all aspects of her studies.
Kim is an inspiring student who manages significant responsibilities while maintaining exceptionally high standards. Her perseverance, professionalism, and commitment to her development make her an outstanding role model for other apprentices. I look forward to seeing her complete the course and continue to succeed in every aspect of her future career."
