A floristry expert who trains The Sheffield College apprentices and students has been shortlisted in a national competition.

Jo Biddle is one of 20 finalists in the Floristry Tutor of the Year category of the British Florist Association Industry Awards.

Jo has a strong track record in the industry. She is an English Master Florist and has taught floristry for more than 20 years. During that time, she also ran a successful floristry retail business for 10 years.

Jo trains the College’s floristry Apprentices, as well as higher diploma and masters diploma students, at the Floristry School in Sheffield. She is also a member of the British Florist Association’s Education and Training Committee.

Jo said: “I feel honoured to be shortlisted for this award. It’s incredibly rewarding to train floristry apprentices and students in the skills that will help them go further in their careers and to be recognised for that.”
