Who is it for?
This Apprenticeship is for recent entrants to the sector, as well as existing employees, to progress in their career.

There are three fixed intakes for this Apprenticeship - September/January/May

Duration
The minimum completion time for this Apprenticeship is 12 months, however the average completion time is 15 months.
How does it work?
80% of training will take place with the Apprentices employer alongside one day a week in college for practical and theory work. Assessor visits will be scheduled in the workplace every 10 - 12 weeks.
Content
As part of their Apprenticeship, Apprentices will work towards completing tailored pathways in healthcare science as set out in the Apprenticeship standard documentation.
Assessment
The Apprentice will be assessed via knowledge, skills and practical assessment throughout the programme.

Additional Qualification
Pearson BTEC L2 Diploma in Healthcare Science
Review
The Apprenticeship will be reviewed after a maximum of 3 years.
