Who is it for?
Trainee Site supervisors
The typical duration for this Apprenticeship is three years but this will depend upon the previous experience of the apprentice and access to opportunities to gain the full range of competence.
How does it work?
Attending Sheffield college 1 day a week, studying an HNC Construction for 2 years and working towards an End Point Assessment in year 3.
The purpose of BTEC Higher Nationals in Construction and The Built Environment is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them.
The HNC is an assignment based qualification, studying 8 units over the 2 years.
Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Construction and The Built Environment (Construction)
English and Maths; apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
The apprenticeship will be reviewed after a maximum of 3 years.
